Project Cedar

Avnos' flagship commercial-scale HDAC™ deployment.

Summary

Overview

Project Cedar is Avnos' largest and most ambitious project to date – a commercial-scale Hybrid Direct Air Capture (HDAC™) facility designed to demonstrate carbon removal at scale. The project will deploy four HDAC modules, capturing 3,000 tonnes of CO₂ and producing more than 6,000 tonnes of clean water annually.

Cedar is funded through the release of up to $17 million in project financing under a phased agreement with Shell US Gas and Power, LLC (Shell) and Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas). Construction is due to complete by the end of 2026, with operations beginning in early 2027.
